Whether you’re new to baking, want to organise a group activity with friends, or simply want to build on existing skills,  we have the class for you.  

All our classes are held in a small, relaxed and fully supportive environment. So no matter what your level of baking - from beginner to pro, we will look after you and ensure that you have a great experience. 

We offer a wide range of classes, from cupcake making and decoration, to how to build, stack and decorate a tiered cake. Not to mention how to ice beautiful cookies and create delicious cake pops. Let us share our love of baking and decorating with you!

About Me

From an early age I was inspired by the Art of Baking & Cake Decoration.

Spending summer holidays in France, looking through the windows of pâtisseries and marvelling at the array of beautiful cakes, pastries and tarts I dreamt of creating my own delicious treats and bringing enjoyment to people through food. It is the inspiration of why I have set up my business ‘Baker & Chef’ – a destination where people can come together and enjoy making delicious, stunning, and creative bakes and where I can make a difference by sharing my skills and knowledge along the way.

My love of cooking and baking led me into the world of hospitality and after completing my degree in Hotel Management, I set up my own wedding cake business running it successfully for over 10 years whilst also working in the retail industry organising large scale events for a major high street retailer. As well as being an enthusiastic home baker I also hold numerous accreditations to my name – the most notable being my Diplôme de Pâtisserie certificate which I gained from the world renowned Le Cordon Bleu School in London – an intensive 3-month course specialising in classic patisserie.

About Us

Baker & Chef is a fun and relaxed premium baking and decorating studio. We pride ourselves on providing carefully curated seasonal classes, which are personally designed and suitable for all levels of experience. We hope to create a fun and memorable experience for all, so no matter what your level of baking, from having never baked before to wanting to progress your home baking skills we can guarantee that you will have an enjoyable time, and that you’ll pick up some tips and tricks along the way.

Our studio is located at the revitalised Gasworks business area, just off the Ormeau Road and set in a beautiful Grade A listed building in the heart of Belfast. We can host up to 12 students in our spacious classroom. The Victoria Shopping Centre is less than a 10-minute walk away and there is a car park directly opposite the entrance to the Gasworks, so access couldn’t be easier. What to bring:

We will provide everything for the class, including an apron, the ingredients and all equipment. 

Parking information 

Unfortuantely there is no parking directly outside Baker & Chef.

We recommend the Charlotte Street Car Park, (BT7 1TS), just off Ormeau Avenue. Please note the machines here only take coins.

This is a 2 minute walk from the Gasworks, where Baker & Chef is situated. 

Alternatively, the Howard Street Car (BT7 1BA), on Howard Street S , off Ormeau Rd uses the Ringo App and also has an EV Charging.

Locating The Studio / Dropping Off 

From Ormeau Road drive through the main gates in to the Gasworks. At the first mini roundabout take the left turning on to Cromac Quay. Baker and Chef is situated in the building next to the Clock Tower.
